Could Nostradamus’s prophecy come true?
Bahía Times – Following the sad death of Pope Francis, Cardinal Robert Sarah has emerged as a viable option to succeed the Argentine Pontiff.
If the anticipated succession were to take place and Cardinal Robert Sarah were to be anointed as the new Vicar of Christ, there is a belief that the prophecy of the Frenchman Nostradamus could be fulfilled:
“A foreign Pope, an old Pope, and finally, a Black Pope… and with him, the end of the world.”
Vicar of Christ (from the Latin “Vicarius Christi”) is a title attributed to the Pope, signifying that he is the representative of Christ on Earth.
Michel de Nôtre-Dame (Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, France, December 14, 1503 – Salon-de-Provence, France, July 2, 1566), also called Michel Nostradame, Latinized as Nostradamus, is known for his book Les Prophéties (in English, The Prophecies), a collection of 942 poetic quatrains believed to predict the future. The book was first published in 1555.
